Arunachal Swertia is a herb up to 30 cm tall with
yellow flowers. Flowers are borne in leaf-axils, in unbranched or
moderately branched cymes. Petals are inverted-wedge-shaped, up to 2.5
cm long, tip and margin lacerulate, nectary smooth. Leaves are in a
rosette at the base, elliptic, margin minutely and irregularly
laciniate, margin fringed with hairs. Arunachal Swertia is found in
East Himalaya, from Bhutan to Arunachal Pradesh, at altitudes of 4000
m. Flowering: June-July.
